The new training year has begun
(Berlin, 20.09.2021) „Football is a simple game - 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win.” Some words of wisdom, even like this one from legendary British football star Gary Lineker, don't last forever. The losing team of our internal DaPhi European Championship prediction game, which had seen Germany in front, also had to acknowledge this and host our late summer barbecue on the roof terrace of the DaPhi office in September. For our new apprentices Sascha Schroer and Florian Woschnik, this was a perfect start to the next three years of their apprenticeship, during which they will learn the trade of IT specialists for system integration. A warm welcome!
Wisdom is a kind of continuity, but you also have to constantly review it and adapt it to the times. Just as Lineker already adapted his saying in 2018 after the World Cup debacle of coach Jogi Löw's squad: "... and at the end, the Germans no longer always win" (at that time, they were knocked out of a World Cup tournament in the preliminary round for the first time since 1938). As DaPhi, we see our continuity realised in our staff, in the constant passing on of knowledge and learning together. For example, our current apprentice Tim Lufter, who is currently in his last year of apprenticeship, was recently able to do an internship in Belfast, Northern Ireland and contribute his new impressions to our work. His knowledge of the English-speaking world will be very helpful to him at DaPhi, as we serve many customers from the hotel industry over there.
As football wisdom seems to slowly fade away, we thought we should take the opportunity to put a slogan of its own into the world: "IT is a complicated game - in which at the end DaPhi always finds the best solution."
